Whatever your side of the diaspora calls it, the construction rules do not change. Brushed-back loopback fleece with raised, combed loops on the inside face for warmth, and a flat dense outer face that keeps printed graphics sharp instead of fuzzing at the edges.
Ribbed 2x2 cuffs and hem with real recovery, so the boxy shape survives a winter of wear rather than stretching into a sack. Set-in neck rib taped shoulder to shoulder — the first thing that fails on a cheap Punjabi jumper.
The Graphics
Khanda, Sher, phulkari geometry and Gurmukhi type, placed the way heritage textile work places motifs: centred, generous, allowed to breathe. Gold and cream inks on onyx, cream on forest green.
